Guess the Thing

Six guesses to name the thing. Every miss tells you how close you were and unlocks one more clue.

Three puzzles run every day, drawn from seven games: country, city, animal, element, mountain, painting and dog breed. Each one hides a single answer and gives you six attempts to find it. There is no account to make and nothing to install.

A wrong guess is never wasted. Each one comes back scored from 0 to 100 for how close it landed, with an arrow pointing the way you need to move, and it opens the next of six clues. By the sixth attempt you are working with five clues, so the last guess is rarely a shot in the dark.

The four games not running today are open as practice. Practice rounds never touch your streak and never serve an answer that is queued as an upcoming daily, so warming up cannot spoil anything.
